Personalized Interiors, Elevated by Expertise
At Larissa Design Studio, every space begins with the client’s story—design is deeply personal, and Larissa is known for crafting interiors that reflect individuality with elegance, and just the right amount of daring. She’s a creative force who embraces challenges head-on and isn’t afraid to push boundaries in pursuit of something extraordinary.
Her process is rooted in collaboration and transparency, guiding clients from the first consultation to the final reveal with an open, hands-on approach. Whether the aesthetic leans modern, timeless, or completely unconventional, Larissa infuses each project with trendsetting flair and meticulous attention to detail—ensuring the end result is nothing short of remarkable.
Pineto Place: A Vacation State of Mind
For her Pineto Place project, Larissa set out to create a home that felt like a forever vacation. Think cozy mountain retreat meets vineyard chic—an elegant fusion of Tahoe meets Napa. Her client wanted serenity with a side of sophistication, and Larissa delivered in spades.
The Material Moodboard:
Countertops: Both the kitchen and breakfast room feature high-performance quartz surfaces, chosen for their rich depth and refined durability. In the breakfast room, Cemento Spa by Silestone offers a soft, industrial matte grey that grounds the space. In contrast, the kitchen features the dramatic Laurent by Dekton, a striking dark slab veined with golden caramel streaks that evoke high-end marble without the maintenance. Together, the duo creates a bold yet balanced palette that feels effortlessly luxe.
Backsplashes: To complement the countertops, Caribbean Grey marble from Agora Surfaces was used in two finishes that layer texture without overwhelming the eye. The breakfast room showcases a rugged split face 3x12 tile, while the kitchen opts for a classic honed 3x6 format. These sister stones keep the palette cohesive while adding just enough contrast to keep things interesting.
Ceiling Detail: Floating above it all, a show stopping herringbone mosaic in warm taupe-toned stone from Jeffrey Court’s Chapter 11 Collection graces the ceilings of both the kitchen and breakfast room. This honed marble tile isn’t just a ceiling treatment—it elevates the entire design to “custom luxury” status.
Each material was intentionally selected to create a space that felt curated yet effortless—a true testament to the power of thoughtful design. The result? A perfectly polished space that feels like a luxurious weekend in wine country.
A Sculptural Statement in Stone and Symmetry
One of the most striking elements of the Pineto Place project is the breathtaking breakfast nook ceiling. The nook’s gracefully arched, concave crown is pure design poetry. Sculpted with surgical precision, it required an exceptional level of skill to execute.
The framing and drywalling demanded meticulous artistry, followed by the final application of a herringbone mosaic tile in natural stone—it’s a masterclass in craftsmanship by Darco Construction. Grand yet grounded, it anchors the space in quiet drama—and yes, it’s exactly where we’d like to sip our morning coffee.
Vision Meets the Perfect Surface
Every dream design needs the right materials—and the right people to source them. For Larissa, that meant teaming up with All Natural Stone’s San Jose showroom. “All Natural Stone has been an invaluable partner in bringing my designs to life.” she says. “Their selection is unmatched, it’s like a designer’s candy store—classic, bold, unexpected, and everything in between, their showroom is a one-stop destination.”
With shared creativity, trust, and a love of beautiful things, the Pineto Place project came to life one stunning detail at a time. Here’s to bold ideas, beautiful materials, and the creative minds that bring them together. Cheers, Larissa—consider us officially obsessed.
