Designer Spotlight: Love and Interiors

We’re excited to feature the work of Love and Interiors, a Bay Area design firm founded by Melanie Love, in our latest Designer Spotlight. Since 2017, Melanie has built a practice rooted in creating cozy, thoughtful spaces that serve as both sanctuary and support for modern life. With a background that began in a furniture showroom and a Master’s in Interior Design, Melanie brings a deep understanding of form, function, and feeling to every project.

Love & Interiors approaches each design as a true partnership, taking time to get to know their clients and the unique needs of their space. Melanie’s years spent staging homes throughout the Bay Area sharpened her knowledge of the region’s architectural language, and her Southern roots and love of travel continue to inform her warm, layered aesthetic. From residential interiors to commercial environments, her team designs spaces that feel personal, intentional, and lived in, in the best way.

For a recent San Francisco kitchen, Melanie teamed up with McMahon Construction to reimagine a light-filled culinary space designed to brighten even the foggiest city days.

With sweeping ocean views and an abundance of natural light, the clients requested a “happy kitchen,” a place that would reflect their personality while offering a counterpoint to the neighborhood’s signature gray skies. Melanie and her team found the perfect finish in a cheerful, custom designed backsplash from Crossville’s Cursive Series. The pink and orange hues evoke the beauty of coastal sunsets and the vintage-inspired pattern honors the home’s original charm.

“Our client wanted a joyful space, and the backsplash became the launching point. Its mix of color and character brings warmth and personality to the room.”

Melanie’s approach is layered with warmth, joy, and personality, always striving to create interiors that feel like a refuge. In this case, previous collaborations with the client laid the foundation for bold design choices and creative trust.

“We’d worked with the client before, so there was mutual trust, which gave us the freedom to really design outside of the box. It was a joy to bring their vision to life.”

Love & Interiors worked with our Berkeley showroom, where they partnered with Marti Hoskins, their dedicated ANS rep.

“We love working with ANS because of the wide selection, and we always have a great experience with Marti in Berkeley.”

We’re proud to support designers like Melanie Love who bring joy, color, and character into every space.
